Sold-Out World Premiere @ CPH:DOX

Hey everyone! We’re back from our sold-out world premiere in Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH:DOX). IPOS was one of the most popular films screened, prompting the festival to add a third screening. Thanks in large part to the film’s co-presenter Roskilde Festival (Europe’s largest music festival), word spread quickly following our world premiere at The Grand Teatret. Our 2nd screening was a special all-quiet encore at Absalon where the audience was invited into an encounter with silence and no words were spoken prior to the film. Slides with brief written comments began the evening which was followed by a special performance of John Cage’s famous silent composition 4′33″ by Danish pianist Søren Kjærsgaard. Following the screening, a panel discussion featuring director Patrick Shen alongside two subjects from the film inspired a thought-provoking conversation. Closing the evening was a silent disco where attendees mingled and danced to music provided by the DJ duo Borneland broadcast through headphones. Last but not least we were honored to have in attendance Hans Bruyninckx, the Executive Director of the European Environment Agency who oversees the implementation of environmental policy in 33 countries. #pursuitofsilence
